Brescia House School is an independent Catholic day school for girls from 5 years old to Grade 12. The school is named after the city of Brescia in Lombardy, Northern Italy, where St. Angela Merici founded the first order of teaching nuns in 1535. Visiting UA students live with a host family, attend classes at Brescia House School, and visit important cultural sites in and around Johannesburg.
I remember smiling all the time and thinking about how amazing South Africa is. I have learned to discover more about a country than what is in the history books. The experience opened my eyes to a new culture and new appreciation for the environment around me.
