"This group of seniors is special to me because I coached many of them my first year at Ursuline," coach Jessica Palahicky said.

Congrats Marina Barraco, Blake Caffrey, Maddie Fynes, Ellie Methe, Divya Pinto, and Zoe Victorine!

What are the strengths of this year's team?

"We have a number of great lacrosse players who grew up playing and loving our sport. We also have a number of players who started playing lacrosse at Ursuline and have just become great competitors. We all had different paths that lead us together, but we are strong because of that."

What is your favorite game this season?

"Although we lost to Southlake last week, we looked like the team I know us to be. When we are in our element and everyone is taking care of each other, I don't believe there's an opponent in our division we cannot beat. I was extremely proud of our girls despite the loss."

What is your favorite thing about coaching at Ursuline?

"I enjoy coaching at Ursuline because I understand the great demands that are placed on our young women as student athletes. I'm extremely proud of them for committing to a team while juggling their many activities. I hope I am the kind of coach that is both respected and inspiring. I try to convey to our players how fortunate we are to have each and every day together, because that truly is a gift."

Why is lacrosse a good sport for girls to play?

"Lacrosse is a great sport for girls to play because it's fast and both physically and mentally challenging. It requires power and finesse."

You will recognize your seniors on Tuesday. What do they mean to you and the team?

"We have grown together. They are kind-hearted and will be greatly missed."
