Cross Country

The Running Bears successfully defended their Varsity and JV District Titles with the Varsity Bears winning handily 20 points for the 15th consecutive year and the JV Bears scoring a perfect 15 points for their 13th consecutive district title.

The Varsity Bears were led by District Champion Amanda Hogan '22 who covered the 2 mile course in 11:53. Devon Vopni '21 placed 2nd, Katherine Reynolds '22 placed 4th, and Anna Sent '21 and Zoe Smith '23 finishing less than a second apart for 6th and 7th place. Emma Smith '22 finished 9th, with the top 6 Running Bears earning 1st-Team All-Distrct by finishing in the Top 10. Eva Montenegro '21 placed 12th to earn 2nd-Teeam All-District Honors.

JV Bears had the first 34 finishers across the line! They finished with a perfect 15 points. The first four across the line were freshmen, led by JV champion Tess Corrales  '24 with a time fast enough to have finished 6th in the varsity race!

The UA Cross Country Coaching Staff also defended their streak of 15 consecutive Girls District Coaching Staff of the Year awards.

Volleyball

Volleyball takes on Parish Episcopal tonight, October 29.

• JV at 5:00 p.m.
• Varsity at 6:00 p.m.

Their last district game against John Paul II will be November 2.

• Freshman and Junior Varsity at 5:00 p.m.
• Varsity at 6:30 p.m.
