Cross Country

Cross Country Bears are gearing up for their District and State Championship Meets! The District Meet will take place at 8:00 a.m. on October 21, at Norbuck Park in Dallas. 

Jesuit XC Classic results from October 2:

Both Varsity (9 UA runners) and JV (43 runners) finished 8th out of 27 and 28 teams, respectively, most of which were big UIL schools. Amanda Hogan '22 led Varsity with a 4^th place finish, while Zoe Culak '24 led JV with a 16^th place finish.

Mesquite XC Invite results from September 25:

Around 50 girls ran in the JV division, and UA took the top nine spots! Since five runners scored for each team, that resulted in a perfect score. Highlights included Emma Smith '22’s victorious return to racing after a knee injury, and twins Campbell '25 and Reese '25 Worley working together and finishing strong for 2^nd and 3^rd places.

Golf 

Golfing Bears will compete in their first tournament of the season on October 5, and the LHS Farmers Fall Fest at Indian Creek Golf Course. Tee time is 8:00 a.m.

Swim 

Swimming Bears are competing in the Jesuit Relays in Garland on October 9, at 11:00 a.m.

Volleyball

Varsity VolleyBears are currently 12-7 overall and 0-2 in a very tough district. Their next two district matches are October 5, at Trinity Christian Academy. First serves are at 6:00 p.m. Then, on October 7, they play Parish Episcopal also at 6:00 p.m.

JV is currently 11-7 overall and 1-1 in district play with a huge win in three games over Prestonwood Christian Academy last week. They also have two district matches this week prior to the Varsity games at 5:00 p.m. at both Trinity Christian and Parish Episcopal.

Freshman are 12-2 overall with a 2-0 district record with huge wins over Bishop Lynch and Prestonwood Christian Academy. They also placed 1^st in the Mesquite ISD tournament in September.

The next home matches for the VolleyBears will take place on October 12, vs. John Paul II. Freshman and JV begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Varsity at 6:00 p.m.
