Meet the New Head Volleyball Coach

Please give a warm welcome to Ursuline's new Head Volleyball Coach, Caitlin Wernentin!

Caitlin recently moved to Dallas from Oxford, Mississippi. A former collegiate volleyball player, she started her college career at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and finished up her last two seasons at Ole Miss.

With a total of 13 years of volleyball experience, Caitlin has spent nine working at a high-level alongside some wonderful coaches. Additionally, she has been a Club Coach for four years and her coaching experience ranges from the 12-18-year-old age groups.

Currently, she is a personal trainer, Metro Club Director for Instinct Volleyball Club, and coaches the 13-14-year-old age groups at the club.

Her coaching style is one that is encouraging yet constructive and her passion stems from the great coaches she has been blessed to play for throughout her years playing volleyball.

Caitlin prefers to get to know her players based on what they react and perform best to and gives individualized coaching feedback based on the manner of their personality and playing style.

"I absolutely love when players are receptive and take away something positive from each practice- whether it be on the court or off the court lessons," she said.  "It’s fun to see the players' athletic and personal growth!"

She is excited for the upcoming Ursuline volleyball season and to introduce her players to a similar style of play and technique that she received throughout her years of volleyball.

"I look forward to seeing the work these girls are willing to put in to push the team and program towards success along with building a strong camaraderie," she said.

Go Bears!
