Cross Country Bears Featured in the Dallas Morning News

The Ursuline Running Bears were featured in the Dallas Morning News article, "Dallas-area schools well represented among TAPPS state cross country winners," for their successful finish at the TAPPS State Championship Meet.

The meet took place in Waco on Monday, October 21, at the Cottonwood Creek Golf Course. The Bears placed second as a team with 70 points, behind repeat champions Houston St. Agnes, who scored an impressive 26 points for the win.

Amanda Hogan '22 won the 2-mile race in an outstanding 12:10 time. Katherine Reynolds '22 placed eighth and Devon Vopni '21 finished half a second behind in ninth. All three of the speediest Running Bears earned All-State recognition for their top ten individual finishes, and Vopni will earn Academic All-State status as well, open only to juniors and seniors who finish in the Top 15 overall.
