"Great teachers make a great school. At Ursuline, they make differences in young girl's lives."

"Ursuline has been an integral part of my family history. Mother, sister, aunts, sister-in-law, children and nieces have all attended Ursuline. It is an institution that has special meaning for our family and is the fabric of our daily lives. Doug and I feel if you have been blessed it is important to give back. This is a value that was taught by my family as well as at Ursuline...

A school is only as good as its teachers. Great teachers make a great school. At Ursuline, they make differences in young girl's lives. Teaching is a calling beyond a career and those that are called should not be constrained economically to make a difference even if it is to one young lady.

I have been involved with educational institutions enough to realize that tuition does not cover all the cost of an exceptional college preparatory school like Ursuline Academy of Dallas. I want Ursuline to be there for my grandchildren and for future generations of young women in Dallas.

Research has demonstrated that girls benefit from an all girl education environment. The religious dimension and environment that Ursuline provides takes this benefit to a greater level. A young woman at Ursuline can pray, study, and discuss religious topics unencumbered by externalities of our society. And lastly, and perhaps most importantly, Serviam was emphasized at Ursuline way before it became the "in" thing to do.

Ursuline has a huge impact on the Dallas community. If I look at the women who chair many of the philanthropic organizations in Dallas, they are Ursuline graduates. Additionally, if you examine the business leaders in the Dallas and U.S. professional, civic, and business communities, they are graduates of Ursuline Academy. As one Ursuline donor told me freely and who has no children or relatives that have graduated from Ursuline, "I made a financial contribution because I was impressed by the young women I met who have graduated from Ursuline Academy." I could not have said it any better.
