A Letter From The Chief Development Officer - September 2026

Cover Letters

If you had told me in 1995, as I nervously crossed the stage at graduation, that one day my career would bring me back to 4900 Walnut Hill Lane, I never would have believed you. Like most people, I've learned that life rarely follows a straight path. Looking back, however, it's remarkable how often we find ourselves returning to the places and people that shaped us most.

As I reflect on my own journey, I can see how each experience led me back to Ursuline. Today, serving as Chief Development Officer at the school that helped shape who I am is both a privilege and a full-circle moment.

Development work is rooted in people and relationships. Every gift represents someone who believes in our mission and in our students. Bringing people together around those shared beliefs is both meaningful and inspiring and is one of the many reasons I feel so fortunate to do this work.

This week, we begin our five-week Parent Campaign, and today is UA Giving Day, a great opportunity to give along with the rest of the Ursuline community. Every gift made during the Parent Campaign supports The Ursuline Fund, which is the school’s annual fundraising priority.

Our students deserve the very best we can provide. They deserve exceptional teachers, broad and innovative academic programming, meaningful faith experiences, opportunities to discover their passions, and a campus environment where they feel safe, supported, challenged and known. The Ursuline Fund helps make all that possible, ensuring that our students continue to thrive.

As an alumna, I can tell you that the true value of an Ursuline education reveals itself over time. The academic preparation, friendships, confidence, faith and commitment to Serviam continue to shape how we lead, how we work, how we care for others, and how we give back. The investment made in a student’s Ursuline experience today creates a ripple effect that extends far beyond her four years on campus. The values and experiences she gains here will influence the way she navigates the world long after graduation. The Ursuline Fund helps ensure that every girl receives an experience that is both transformative and lasting.

Today, I invite you to join me by making a gift to the Ursuline Fund. Participation at every level matters because it reflects our collective belief in Ursuline’s mission and in every girl who walks through our doors. Together, we can ensure that today’s students receive the same meaningful experience that has shaped generations of Ursuline women.

Thank you in advance for your support over the next five weeks as we work towards our goal of 100% parent participation. I am grateful for your partnership and for the many ways you give back to Ursuline. I look forward to meeting many of you throughout the year.

In Serviam,

Christina Miller '95
