The Global Advisory Council (GAC) began the school year with a memorable outing to a special speaker event hosted by the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth. After enjoying pizza together, students traveled to the Fairmont Hotel downtown to hear from Andrew Card, who served as Chief of Staff to President George W. Bush during the September 11 attacks.

Students had the unique opportunity to hear firsthand reflections from someone who played a critical leadership role during one of the most significant moments in American history. Mr. Card expressed how pleased he was to see young people in attendance and emphasized the importance of future generations learning about 9/11 and remembering the sacrifices made by so many Americans that day.

The evening provided students with a meaningful perspective on history, leadership, and civic responsibility.
