Catherine R. ’28 helped The Officials Hip Hop Company make an impressive showing at the World of Dance Summit World Championships in Los Angeles, held July 7–10.

The Officials, a competitive junior hip-hop crew, compete at high-profile regional, national, and international events. Their victories at World of Dance Dallas and World of Dance Houston earned the team an invitation to compete at the World of Dance Summit World Championships, where Catherine and her teammates joined more than 300 teams representing 60+ countries. The Officials finished 7th and 8th in the Junior Division and earned the distinction of being the only U.S. team to place in the Top 10. The international event was an unforgettable opportunity to meet, compete, and dance alongside talented performers from around the world.

Catherine’s season with The Officials also included the excitement of performing in two Dallas Cowboys halftime shows in collaboration with the Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue dance team, as well as earning top placements at Monsters of Dance, and KAOS competitions. From performing on the field at Cowboys games to representing the United States on an international stage, the season gave Catherine and The Officials an extraordinary range of experiences while showcasing the dedication, teamwork, and artistry behind competitive hip-hop dance.
