Freshmen students Sofia B. '29, Avie H. '29, Vivie H. '29, Kora V. '29, Olivia P. '29, Olivia H. '29, Ali L. '29, Elizabeth S. '29, and Kate D. '29 received a shoutout for their volunteer work with first-graders at Lakewood Elementary.

"Throughout their time with our students, these young ladies have gone far above and beyond our expectations. They have not only worked one-on-one and in small groups with the children, but they have also taken initiative in planning mini lessons, creating their own worksheets and activities, supporting students through guided practice, and grading their student work. Their level of preparation, patience, leadership, and professionalism has been truly impressive.

What has stood out the most has been their questioning skills and ability to guide students through their thinking. The girls consistently encourage critical thinking, perseverance, and confidence in our first graders. Their interactions with the students reflect maturity, compassion, and a genuine passion for helping others learn.

Their performance has been more than outstanding, and the impact they have made has not gone unnoticed. Parents have expressed how happy and appreciative they are of the support their children have received. It has been a true pleasure watching these young women work with our younger students and become role models, coaches, and mentors within the classroom."
