DFW Central Finishes Second at State Bowling Competition

Awards Athletics

The DFW Central girls team delivered an outstanding performance, finishing second out of 21 teams from across the state in a highly competitive field. The team is composed of the top eight bowlers from across the district, who come together to compete against the best athletes from other districts statewide. Ursuline was well represented, with four bowlers earning spots on the All-District team.

After a strong showing in the morning qualifying round, the team held steady in third place through each game, securing an excellent position heading into the elimination bracket. Their consistency and focus set the tone for a deep and impressive run.

Team member Ava I. of Guyer HS led the all-district team with a remarkable individual performance, placing first overall among all bowlers in the competition. She bowled an exceptional 698 series, highlighted by a high game of 254, and provided strong leadership for the team throughout the day.

This achievement marks the farthest the DFW Central girls team has advanced in the past five years since Ursuline joined the district.

Congratulations to the team on an incredible showing and a milestone finish!
