A Gift of Life, Inspired by Serviam
In October, Ursuline Academy welcomed two remarkable alumnae, Nono Osuji ’99 and Megan Nausler Neitzel ’99, who returned to campus to share their extraordinary story of faith, friendship, and service.
Though they were only casual acquaintances in high school, their lives became deeply connected years later when Nono, after a long battle with lupus, needed a kidney transplant. Megan saw Nono’s social media post asking for a donor, got tested, and learned she was a perfect match. In December 2022, Megan donated one of her kidneys to Nono, turning classmates into what they now call “kidney sisters.”
Following the Feast of St. Ursula Mass, Nono and Megan each shared their accounts of this life-changing experience, reflecting on how Ursuline’s motto, Serviam, continues to shape their lives in profound ways.

After the assembly, Nono and Megan stayed to chat with students, offering encouragement, laughter, and reminders that living Serviam often means stepping forward when someone needs you most.
