Thank you to our amazing teachers, Dr. Claudine Saade and Sophie Green, for all their hard work to put together such a fun and immersive French Week celebration that brought language and culture to life across campus!

Ursuline Celebrates French Week
Bonjour from the Ursuline World Languages Department, which recently celebrated French Week with a full week of art, food, music, and culture. It was tres magnifique!
The Fox Dining Hall turned into a little slice of France, featuring student artwork and a Mona Lisa photo booth. Outside, students grabbed chalk to create French-inspired masterpieces on the breezeway.

During activity period, SAGE Dining showed everyone how to make Palmiers, a flaky, buttery French pastry, that disappeared almost instantly! At lunch, students sampled a special menu of chicken chasseur, ratatouille, and French onion soup, while a Francophone playlist set the mood. There were also French candy tastings, a daring cheese challenge, a French braiding station, and a drawing contest as part of the celebration.

Additionally, French I, II, and III students also visited the Kimbell Art Museum, each recreating a piece by a French artist before seeing the real thing in person.
