Mardi Gras Raises $617,000 for Ursuline Scholarships

Ursuline Academy is grateful for the volunteers, donors, underwriters and attendees who so generously contributed their time and resources to Mardi Gras "Havana Nights" on Saturday, March 2 at Million Air Dallas at Addison Airport.

Net proceeds totaled $617,000 for financial need-based scholarships at the 29th annual celebration.

A very special thank you to this year's Honorary Chairs, The Diane and Sam K. Smith Family, and to Event Chairs Kim Blades Askew '93, Kelly Moore Cook '85, and Wells Gibbons Housson '93 for their outstanding leadership. Their efforts will help make the dreams of many hopeful young women a reality by providing them with the gift of an Ursuline education. It's not too late to make a scholarship donation in honor of the chairs or honorary chairs.

Congratulations to current parent Vic Peram, winner of the $15,000 gift card, and to Karen and Tim Higginbotham, winners of the Choose Your Own Adventure package.
