Ursuline Academy's 2019 Mardi Gras "Havana Nights" will be held Saturday, March 2 at Million Air Dallas at Addison Airport. The 29th annual celebration is the premier scholarship fundraising event for Ursuline Academy of Dallas. Honorary Chair of the 2019 Gala is The Diane and Sam K. Smith Family; this year's Mardi Gras Co-Chairs are Kim Blades Askew '93, Kelly Moore Cook '85, and Wells Gibbons Housson '93.
Ursuline's Mardi Gras Gala is an essential source of funding for financial need-based scholarships for young women in grades 9-12 who attend the Academy. For the 2018-2019 school year, Ursuline granted approximately $1,300,400 in need-based financial assistance to approximately 20% of the student body as a result of endowment earnings and net proceeds from Mardi Gras events.
