After 46 extraordinary years, we celebrate the retirement of Leah Schlief-Freese, a beloved ceramics teacher whose artistry and mentorship have shaped generations of Ursuline students.
"As the rose petals from graduation scatter and final exams are completed, we reflect on the incredible blessings of this school year. Thank you for the investment you have made in our faculty and staff, our programs, our classrooms and most of all, our students."
Her work reflects a deep commitment to academic excellence, faith-based leadership, and the holistic development of students.
One colleague shared, “She is the best supervisor I’ve ever had. The whole school is enormously grateful for her.”
On May 11, the Ursuline Academy theater was filled with the smooth sounds of jazz and the vibrant energy of student talent as The Satin Dolls presented their spring concert, The Satin Dolls and Friends Present: Sing A Song of Jazz.
"She goes above and beyond to ensure that they have the resources and support they need to excel. She stays late to provide extra help, organizes enriching extracurricular activities, and collaborates with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies."
During a ceremony on Thursday, May 15, three students were named among the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth's Top 20 Under 20 Global Young Leaders.
