Dear Ursuline Families,

What an incredible year for the Athletics Department!

No doubt Ursuline had the most appearances on WFAA's High School Sports Special with our three TAPPS 6A State Championships. We earned state titles in all three seasons: cross country in the fall, soccer in the winter, and golf this spring. None of these accomplishments could be possible without the tireless dedication of our student athletes, coaches, and families. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

A key to having success during the school year is what you do over the summer. This is where girls can hone their skills — becoming quicker and stronger. With this in mind, I am thrilled to announce Ursuline is offering a strength and conditioning program on our campus this summer for all student athletes.

Coaches Thomas Allen and Coach Justin Pinckney are renowned trainers with Elite Performance Training and have experience training pro and elite athletes including two starters on the USMNT team, three starters on FC Dallas' professional team, and two Super Bowl champions. Register online.

Ursuline is known for having high performing student athletes. The TAPPS Academic All-State Awards are given to student athletes that excel both in the arena of sport and maintain a cumulative "A" average. No doubt, the student athlete must sacrifice much and have a strong commitment to cultivating her mind and body.

Here are our student athletes who earned second-semester TAPPS Academic All-State Awards (view our honorees from cross country, volleyball, and swimming):

Basketball: Molly Fimian and Anna Murray

Soccer: Reagan Byers, Alyssa D'Aloise, Sofia Garcia, Jayden Gill, Sydney Hurlburt, and Emily Mount

Tennis: Catherine Lindberg, Sara Linn, and Mohitha Peram

Golf: Elena Song, Lauren Stark, Haley Rickman, and Hannah Ryan

Track and Field: Hannah Fee, Lyndsey Hover, Caroline Miller, Emily Mount, Alyssa Sheldon, Paola Sparagana, Sarah Stuecheli, and Sallyanne Tejan

In closing, I want to offer my deep gratitude to the Ursuline community. How blessed I am to serve a population so steeped in mission. I pray that you have a restful summer and come back BEAR STRONG!

Go Bears,

Susan Noonan
