Rangerettes Garner Applause, Awards

The Jesuit Rangerettes from Ursuline Academy competed in their first contest this year on February 27, with the American Dance and Drill Company. The team was very successful and under the direction of Linda Coffin, garnered the following awards:

Team Awards:

  • Giving Back Award
  • Academic Champions
  • Gussie Nell Davis Award
  • Judges Awards: for all four dances (pom, open, military, jazz)
  • Best in Class
  • Best Overall with a Gold Award

Officer Awards:

  • Sweepstakes Award
  • Gussie Nell Davis Award
  • Judges Awards: for all four dances (pom, contemporary, jazz, lyrical)
  • Best in Class
  • Best Overall with a Silver Award

Elite Awards:

  • Sweepstakes Award
  • Gussie Nell Davis Award
  • Judges Award- for al three dances (hip hop, jazz, contemporary)
  • Placed 3rd for Elite teams

Duets:

  • Winners in Large Division: Ciana Cantrell '21 and Miller Kerr '21
  • Runners-up in Large Division: Nina Scott '23 and Maya Stoudamire '23

Solo Finalist in Large School Division:

  • Winner: Ava Place

Top Score of All Solos at Contest:

  • Winner’s Circle: Ava Place '23
  • 1st Runners-up: Miller Kerr '21 and Nina Scott '23
  • 2nd Runners-up: Allie Tepera '24, Jamie Duda '24, and Christina Antoon '24
  • 3rd Runner-up: Taylor Beazer '21
