BasketBEARS had an exciting weekend in St. Louis playing in a Round Robin against Ursuline St. Louis and Ursuline Dedham.
The team had fun making new friends, exploring a new city, and shooting hoops.
“I’m glad our team was able to travel out of state together,” said Jordan Tanner ’22. “It was a great opportunity for our team to grow closer together and get to know each other better.”
They visited the Arch, toured St. Louis University, attended Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, and ice skated at Steinberg’s in Forest Park.
Caitlin Gilbert ’20 had a blast ice skating with her team.
“We were able to bond off the court and spend quality time with each other,” she said.
However, the most memorable part of the trip? Realizing that “even though all three schools are hundreds of miles apart, they all share similarities and traditions,” said Mary Gramling ‘20.
The BasketBEARS went 1-1 in the Round Robin.
“It was great competition,” reflected Coach Nikki Nester. “The whole trip was an overall blast.”
Way to go Bears!
