Photography teacher Bill Thompson's students submitted photographs to Working Assumptions, a nonprofit dedicated to "making art happen about work and family." The goal of each student was to make pictures that tell the story of how work and family overlap in their household. 

"This unit not only calls students to consider how work and family are unique and foundational in their life, but it also gives voice to student perspective," said Mr. Thompson. "It allows their creative work to be judged and seen by a greater audience.”

Working Assumptions judges the images along with participating schools across the country. Selected work is later displayed on their website.
