Wellness Facts: Did you know?

Research shows that breakfast is the most frequently skipped meal in teenagers and young adults. However, it is important that students eat breakfast in order to not only maintain a healthy lifestyle, but to also increase their academic performance.

Eating breakfast can provide the following:

  • More Energy: eating a breakfast that includes energy-boosting carbohydrates and protein can help your daughter stay energized and focused throughout the entire day
  • Increased Concentration: eating breakfast improves both memory and recall which is essential not only for taking exams, but also for staying engaged during class time
  • Better Grades: eating at the start of the day provides the brain with essential nutrients and alleviates hunger throughout the rest of the day (which can be distracting and interfere with academic performance)
