Our dear Sr. Lois has been named to the Ursulines of the Central Province leadership team in St. Louis, a role that will take effect this summer. This is bittersweet news for us, but will be wonderful for the Ursulines.
She has been discerning about such an opportunity to serve her Ursuline Sisters for several years -- we know that this decision was discussed over many morning coffees with St. Angela. While the news is sad for Ursuline Academy of Dallas, it is beautiful for the Ursuline Central Province.
Sr. Lois will be here for the rest of the school year, and the programs she has built and nurtured in Dallas will continue. These include employee Angela Merici Advisories (AMAs), Angela Retreats, the Montana Retreat Program, and of course, all programming that builds on Ursuline’s heritage and the power of the presence of St. Angela.
We are deeply grateful that Sister Lois first came to Ursuline Dallas for what was meant to be a temporary six-month role and instead blossomed into over a decade of dedicated service, leaving a lasting impact on our school community.
We will be sharing plans for celebrations honoring Sr. Lois in the coming weeks.
