For nearly 30 years, the Dads Club has hosted a Dad/Daughter Service Project, providing an opportunity for fathers and daughters to serve side by side, strengthen their bond, and live out Ursuline’s mission of "Serviam" together. This year, on Saturday, November 8, more than 100 Ursuline dads and daughters gathered in Fox Dining Hall to prepare 2,000 lunches for The Stewpot, complete with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, chips, and handwritten notes of encouragement on each bag.

Adrienne Nicholson '06, Manager of Volunteer Services at The Stewpot, attended the event and shared information about the organization’s impact and the services it provides to individuals and families experiencing economic, housing, and food insecurity by offering programs in the areas of housing, stabilization, education, nutrition, and enrichment.

“It was inspiring to see so many dads and daughters come together to serve others,” said Greg Land, Community Service Chair for the Ursuline Dads Club. “This project was a great reminder of what Serviam is all about: giving of our time and talents to help those in need.”
