Senior Farewell Mass

In the last (virtual) Mass of the school year, Ursuline said farewell to the Senior Class.

Father Philip wanted to provide the Class of 2020 with an image he preached to them about at their Junior Retreat last year. The image of the burning bush.

“With prayer and trust in God, you can turn this tragedy into a beacon of light,” he said. “Turn it into a burning bush. A bush on fire with the love of God that shines brightly, but that can never be consumed. No matter how many setbacks or obstacles.”

Director of Alumnae, Parent, and Community Programs Claire Blanshard Webb ’97 said it beautifully, “The Class of 2020 has persevered….”

“You have proven that no matter what life throws at you, you are resilient,” she reflected. “To be able to say that you are a graduate from Ursuline Academy means a great deal in this community and around the world. To say you are Class of 2020, will tell the world you are unstoppable.”

We are going to miss you, Class of 2020!

*Typically at the end of this mass, Seniors receive a rose with a "Prayer for an Ursuline Alumna." This year, the Mothers Club delivered a rose to the seniors at home. View photo album.
