Q&A with the 2021 Mardi Gras Chairs

Mardi Gras Chairs Amy Staubach Mentgen '95 and Stephanie Staubach Phillips '87 answer questions about this year's virtual gala:

Tell us about the event:

This is the first ever virtual Mardi Gras! It will take place Saturday, February 27, with a short online program. Mardi Gras will include an online auction with Silent and "The Biggest and Brightest" items (previously items found in live and big board). Auction timelines can be found at uamardigras.org.

What are you most excited for?

We are most excited about the fact that everyone can participate in this year’s event from wherever they are! We will have the feeling of community even though we can’t be together in person.

Why is this event special to you?

As Ursuline Alumnae and parents of Ursuline students, we have seen and experienced first-hand the impact of an Ursuline education. With all Mardi Gras proceeds going directly to scholarships, we were called to help make this opportunity more accessible to current and future Ursuline girls.

What's new this year?

Party Packages! You can enjoy Mardi Gras in the comfort of your home with a party package for you and your friends or family. Please visit the Mardi Gras website for details on party packages. Please note: orders for Party Packages are due by Wednesday, February 10.

We can't wait to welcome you to this year's virtual Mardi Gras Program and Auction. It promises to be a fantastic virtual event!
