Eight senior members on the The Bear Facts staff have been named to the National Scholastic Publication Association Honor Roll for 2020.

They include Editors Sarah Hui and Abigail Mihalic; Online Editors Grace Risinger and Emilea McCutchan; and Section Editors Helen Emerson, Bethany Roberts, Kate Janson, and Sarah Nguyen.  

The NSPA Journalism Honor Roll honors students who have achieved a 3.5 or higher grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and have completed at least two years on staff by the end school year. Students must also be endorsed by the publication adviser and school counselor.  

“This has been a great staff, and I am so proud of these girls for this recognition,” said Advisor Melinda Smith.
