Ahead of a field trip to the Kimbell Art Museum, the French III Honors class researched the French painters they were going to see (including Claude Manet, Henri Matisse, and Berthe Morisot) and presented a biography of the painters to the class. The students also picked their favorite painting by the painter and created a replica of the painting.

On Saturday, October 26, Ursuline art students and teachers participated in the "Parish Print Fest" hosted by Parish Episcopal School. Earlier in the semester, Parish Episcopal supplied eight participating schools and artists with a 3’ x 3’ block of linoleum to design and cut inspired by the theme, “Everything’s Bigger in Texas.” For four weeks, students and teachers collaborated on the design and process. At the event, a steamroller was used to print the blocks.

At least one print will go to the respective schools and one to Parish Episcopal, all with hopes of raising money at auction fundraisers.  Throughout the next year, an exhibition of the prints will travel to each school. The participating schools are Parish Episcopal School, Hockaday School, Greenhill School, St. Mark’s School of Texas, and Ursuline Academy of Dallas. Artists included Richie Peña, Karolina Phillips, and the UNT Printmaking Association of North Texas Students.
