What do I do with my textbooks?

This year you have two options with your textbooks from this year:

You can request to join this group on Facebook and post your used textbooks, used uniform pieces, graduation dresses, anything having to do with Ursuline.  This is a closed group, post your items with an asking price and other members can contact you to purchase.  Ursuline Academy of Dallas Trade Page | Facebook

Bear Buyback

Bear will be doing a book buyback.  The 2024 Buyback List is posted, we will be taking those titles back for credit on your students charge account.  Seniors can either credit a little sister’s account or choose to receive a check in the mail.  The highest amount given for books will be 40% of the retail price, that will be for new books in excellent condition.  Dollar amount given per book will depend on the condition of the book and the amount we need.  Books that are not on the list but are put in the box will be considered donations.  Donations are sent to Better World Books where they either sell, donate to literacy programs, or recycle books.  There are 2 boxes as soon as you walk in the store for books to be dropped in, please make sure the student’s name is on each book for her to get credit.  Books will be collected from May 6 – 29 only.  Bear will also take donated books in those boxes, just label them as DONATIONS.  English paperbacks will not be included in buyback, you can sell those on the Facebook Trade Page – please only sell them if there is little/no highlighting or writing.  If you want to donate English paperbacks we will gladly take them for borrowing when students forget their book.

Donate to St. Ursula’s Closet

There will be donation boxes out during graduation practices and there will be a bin in Bear during Bear Buyback.

SENIORS!

When cutting up your skirts for the last class day – save your scraps, bring them to Mrs. Brewer – she has a special project she can use them for.

SUMMER HOURS

Bear Necessities will only be open in the mornings from May 23-29 during exams.

Bear Necessities will be closed May 30 & 31.

Summer Hours

June 3 – June 26

Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Bear will be closed June 27 – July 12 for inventory but will re-open July 15.
