Meet Our National Merit Semifinalists

Congratulations to our three National Merit Semifinalists! We can't wait to see what they accomplish next.

Approximately 16,000 students across the U.S. were named National Merit Semifinalists this year. These seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,600 National Merit Scholarships offered next spring.

Meet our National Merit Semifinalists:

Sophie Anderson
Clubs/Interests:
Ambassadors President, Varsity Cross Country, active member of the Feminists for Change Club.

"I hope to double major in Biochemistry and Spanish in college with the plan of attending medical school afterwards."

 Representative of the Latinas Unidas Club, member of National Math Honor Society, National Honor Society, and National Spanish Honor Society

"In college, I want to study Industrial Engineering because I am passionate about math and science and love problem-solving."

"I want to study Biomedical Engineering because it's the best way for me to combine my interests in medicine, math, and science in a collaborative community. I want to solve medical problems to make patients’ quality of life and care infinitely better, and I hope to make that impact not only on another’s life but also on the medical world at large."
