Information for AP Exams

Dear Student and Parent,

Welcome to the new school year and Happy First Week of classes!

For those students who will take an AP Exam this year we have outlined information and instructions below that you need to know.

Please note: this information is only for those students who intend to take an AP exam in May of 2022 and is separate from the application process for a student who plans to enroll in an AP class at Ursuline for the 2022-2023 school year.

If a student is in an AP Class at UA or enrolled in an online AP class through One School House:

  • Every student in an AP class will join the College Board AP Classroom through their College Board account at the beginning of the school year. AP teachers will provide students with the information needed to complete this step.
  • If you plan to take an AP exam, you will need to change your exam registration status in your College Board account to ‘YES’. (it is automatically set to UNDECIDED)
  • Students enrolled in a second semester AP class will receive information about registration from their teacher in January.

If a student is not enrolled in an AP class:

  • Students will complete this survey to receive instructions on how to register for an AP exam through their College Board account.

AP Exam Information for all students:

  • AP exam registration closes on October 9
  • Students who register for an exam will need to join AP Exam Teams (information will be shared after registration)
  • AP exams are optional
  • All exams are administered in May
  • Exam fees are $96 per exam. (Cancellation and late registration fees applicable) -Students are billed for their AP exam fees in early June through their backpack account. Senior accounts will be closed at this point and families will be emailed billing instructions.

All students should log onto their College Board account as soon as possible so they have time to handle any logon or access issues before registration. If a student is unable to log onto her account, she should contact College Board at 866-433-7728.
