Her Education, Our Legacy

For the 8th year in a row, Ursuline's Employee Legacy Scholarship (ELS) reached 100% employee giving participation – in eight days!

This scholarship fund supports a deserving student who is qualified to attend Ursuline, but who may otherwise be unable to afford tuition. She is supported through this scholarship fund for all four years through gifts made by Ursuline employees.

ELS Committee Co-Chair and World Language teacher Sophie Greene loves being part of an organization whose employees give 100% to support a student’s educational journey.

“It shows that we all believe in our mission and that this is not just a job,” she said. “We are truly committed to our students.”

“I love knowing that the scholarship recipient doesn’t have to worry about paying for her education,” she continued. “She can just focus on learning and discovering who she is and what she wants to be and do.”

It’s important for Performing Arts teacher Whitney Coulter to be involved in service and giving back to her community in some form. So, when she was nominated for the ELS Committee, she was honored.

“It feels good to be part of a community that provides a scholarship to a student in need,” she said. “Finances can be a huge factor in determining whether a student can attend Ursuline, so knowing that we can come together as Ursuline employees to assist a young woman achieving her educational dreams for all four years is amazing!”

Director of Development Beth Arsenault is also incredibly proud of Ursuline employees and of the ELS Committee, who all helped make this possible.

“Thank you for not only giving up your time, but your treasure to make a positive impact every day for our Ursuline students,” she said. “It is simply amazing and deeply heartwarming to know we are making a difference in a deserving young girl’s life.”

“I would like to extend my thanks to my scholarship donor and to all of those who participate in the Ursuline Academy scholarship program.

Through your generosity, many students like me can attend Ursuline Academy and experience attending their dream high school. Being a student here is more than just being a high school student. It’s about representing a group of young women who are committed to academics, service, and spirituality.

Thank you again for selecting me to be a part of Ursuline’s scholarship program.”
