Digital Divas
Eighteen students participated in the all-girl Digital Diva coding competition on Saturday, February 8th. Special recognition goes to Maia Monroe '26, Alex Sfikas '26 and Ela Alderink '26 whose team placed 3rd in the Dallas-Ft Worth Novice division.
Ride On
Ava Staton '25 competed in Altoona, Florida at the Rocking Horse Winter II Horse Trials February 14-16. Ava and her horse Lamaondale Graciana finished 5th in her Modified Rider Division. Ava advanced to the Prelim Division, and she will compete in the upcoming Rocking Horse Winter III Horse Trials competition at the end of this month in the Prelim Division.
Chemistry Corner
Chemistry is exploring the world of gases in a new unit, and students used boiling water and atmospheric pressure to crush empty soda cans in Mr. McKinnon's class.
Tech Superstars
Congratulations to the following National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) award winners:

- Isabella Martinez '25 - Winner
NCWIT honors students who demonstrate aspirations, abilities, technical accomplishments, and impact in technology. Students apply for the award with recommendations from their computer science teachers. Those selected are honored at a special award dinner, where they hear from industry leaders and receive their recognition.
Mandarin Class Field Trip
Students from Dr. Nai's and Jesuit's Mandarin Chinese classes recently took a field trip to zTao Marketplace in Plano. The students sang, danced, participated in a scavenger hunt at the supermarket, and interviewed shoppers to practice their Mandarin conversation skills! The students also dined at Chinese restaurants before making the trip back to campus.
Ursuline Mock Trial ⚖️
This year’s Mock Trial team had a strong showing at the annual competition, held on February 1 and sponsored by the Dallas Bar Association. Led by coach Tanner Hartnett ’06, the team put their skills to the test in the courtroom, with two students earning individual honors—Mary Meredith ’26 was named a top 10 witness, and Diya Cham ’26 was recognized as a top attorney!
