Ella R. '29 Amplifies UN CSW70 Delegate Experience Across Dallas Schools and Civic Forums

On May 11, Ella R. '29 spoke to approximately 130 6th and 7th grade students at Sudie L. Williams TAG Magnet Middle School in Dallas. Her presentation focused on civic literacy, the federal TAKE IT DOWN Act, also known as the Tools to Address Known Exploitation by Immobilizing Technological Deepfakes on Websites and Networks Act, and the message that young voices do not need to wait until age 18 to influence policy and public life.

The school visit is part of Ella’s advocacy efforts as a delegate to the 70th United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70), where she represented Girl Scouts of the USA. In this role, she elevated youth perspectives on global issues, including access to justice for women and girls and the importance of women’s full participation in public life and decision-making. During CSW70, Ella was also featured on Good Morning America in a segment highlighting Girl Scouts delegates in recognition of National Girl Scout Day 2026.

Ella's CSW70 delegate work has also led to invitations from leading Dallas civic and philanthropic organizations. On February 10, she attended D CEO’s 2026 Women Leading STEM at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. On April 29, she attended the 2026 Texas Women's Foundation Leadership Forum and Awards Celebration as a guest of honoree Margie Aguilar, who was recognized with the Maura Women Helping Women Award.

Ursuline Academy is proud of the way she represents her community on local, national, and global stages, and we celebrate the impact she is already making as a thoughtful, courageous leader.
