Michelle Bao '24 completed two VEX Regional Robotic Competitions. At the VEX V5 Tournament (37 teams total) held in Cumby, Texas on November 20, 2021, Michelle's team, 87867D, won the Tournament Champions Award (Ranked 1st) and secured a spot to compete at the State Championship on March 4-5, 2022. 

Most recently, at the VEX Tournament (43 teams total) held in Mesquite, Texas, her team once again made the State qualification by winning the Robot Skills Champion Award and the Think Award. Because of the outstanding achievements, her team has received an invitation to the 2022 U.S. Open Robotic Championship, which will be held at the end of March in 2022 in the State of Iowa. 

Nika Vahadi ’24 for having one of her photographs accepted to the 2021 Drexel University High School Photography Exhibition. It is a national, competitive exhibition. 

The exhibition will be in The Photography Gallery at Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA, January 29-February 27, 2022. Learn more.

Olivia Isbell '24, was a speaker at the 13th annual Women for Orphans Worldwide (WOW) Luncheon held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the Westin Galleria Dallas. With more than 350 guests in attendance, the WOW Luncheon raised funds to meet the critical needs for the programs of Orphan Outreach in Guatemala by providing support for physical, emotional, educational and spiritual lives of orphaned and vulnerable children and families.

WOW was founded in 2009 by a team of mothers and daughters who traveled to Guatemala on a mission trip with Orphan Outreach. Upon their return to Dallas, these founding members created WOW: Ursuline alumnae Linda White ‘81 and Amanda White ‘14, and Ursuline mom Margo Isbell.

Celeste Theriot '25 was selected to be a member of the SMU Young Artist Flute Ensemble. She is one of 14 selected from the Dallas metroplex. The Ensemble performed in November at SMU’s O’Donnell Recital Hall. Their performance featured works by Percy Grainger, Rick Pierce, Ann Cameron Pearce, and Kelly Via. The Ensemble will have another exciting performance in the Spring.
