Student Leadership Board Attends National Conference of the World Affairs Councils of America

The Student Leadership Board of the Global Advisory Council visited Washington, D.C. just before Thanksgiving Break to attend the annual National Conference of the World Affairs Councils of America. UA students had the opportunity to hear distinguished speakers, including journalist Bob Woodward. They met a variety of diplomats and ambassadors, including the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova, and the group attended a reception at the Embassy of Sweden. The group from Ursuline was the only high school student group in attendance at the conference. Also while in D.C., the students had a very special meeting with the Secret Service Presidential Vehicle Unit and toured the National Museum for Women in the Arts.
