Dear Ursuline Community,

With Governor Abbott’s executive order announced on March 2, 2021, we want to clarify for all our families and employees that the COVID-19 mitigation efforts currently in place at Ursuline Academy (physical distancing, contact tracing and quarantining, limiting large group gatherings) will remain unchanged. Mask wearing will continue to be required on campus. 

From the start of the pandemic, the Governor has supported the ability of private schools to determine their own best protocols for mitigating risk of COVID-19. The efforts implemented at Ursuline have been effective to date in protecting our faculty, staff, and students. We believe it is in the best interest of our school community to continue to follow the guidelines provided by our medical professionals. 

Thank you for continuing to make choices to protect the most vulnerable. And we encourage all who are able to take advantage of the COVID-19 vaccines to do so as soon as possible so that we might continue on a path of return to normal.
