Construction Update

As you drive through campus, you will notice that big changes are underway! St. Joseph’s Hall and the former convent, St. Ursula’s Hall, have been cleared to make way for new construction, and renovations have also begun for Haggar Center. We are very excited about our campus improvements and the impact these spaces will have on teaching and learning. More information on construction plans will be available in September, and we look forward to sharing those with you and our full Ursuline community.

Please be assured of the following:

  • Steps have been taken to ensure that safety for all on campus remains a top priority during the construction months ahead, including:
    • Background checks and IDs issued for all construction employees
    • Barrier fencing to cordon off construction areas
    • Temporary closure of the Inwood Road exit
  • In accordance with City of Dallas ordinances, construction hours will begin at 7:00 a.m. and end at 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Disruption to traffic flow is expected to be minimal. With the upcoming start of school and the arrival of students on campus, please remember the following procedures:

Carpool AM and PM:

  • With the Inwood Road exit temporarily closed, all carpool and student drivers must exit campus through the main Walnut Hill exit gate. (Seniors may continue to exit campus through the Senior Lot exit gate.)
  • When driving through campus, remember to always stay in the LEFT LANE for both drop off and pickup.
  • Use the RIGHT LANE for through-driving traffic only.

Thank you for your patience and your support as we move forward with plans to expand and enhance facilities for learning at Ursuline!
