Celebrating the Heart and Spirit of Suzy Frasco

After 26 years of faithful service at Ursuline Academy of Dallas, Theology Teacher Suzy Frasco is retiring, leaving behind a legacy of joy, generosity, and unwavering love for the Ursuline community.

It seems only fitting that, in God’s plan, Suzy and fellow retiring teacher Fred Schneider, a beloved teaching duo and longtime collaborators, are entering retirement together. Over the years, countless students have fondly remembered the impact they both had on their Ursuline experience.

Throughout her years at Ursuline, Ms. Frasco has been far more than a teacher. She has been a mentor, friend, encourager, and steady source of joy whose presence has left an unforgettable mark on the school community. Her laughter, warmth, and remarkable sense of humor brightened hallways, classrooms, and conversations, often turning ordinary moments into lasting memories.

One of the things colleagues admired most about Ms. Frasco was her contagious enthusiasm and energy. Despite decades in education and countless changes in technology and school life, she embraced every new challenge with curiosity, openness, and joy. Her willingness to continue learning and growing inspired both students and fellow faculty members.

And, of course, no one could talk about Ms. Frasco without mentioning her iconic sense of style. Whether through a beautifully coordinated outfit, a statement necklace, or the unforgettable pink ensemble that many still talk about today, she brought elegance, personality, and confidence into the building every day. Much like Ms. Frasco herself, her presence was impossible to miss in the very best way.

Over the years, Ms. Frasco became something of a legend at Ursuline. In fact, many new employees recall hearing the same question when they accepted positions at the school: “Do you know Suzy Frasco?”

Her care for others was evident in everything she did. New teachers remember how quickly she welcomed them, offering lesson plans, encouragement, wisdom, and reassurance. She had a gift for making people feel seen, supported, and capable.

Students experienced that same care each day. Whether through classroom conversations, lunchtime chats, school events, or simply a warm greeting in the hallway, Ms. Frasco made students feel loved and valued. Even during difficult times, her resilience, laughter, and joyful spirit modeled grace and strength in powerful ways.

Ms. Frasco’s service extended far beyond the classroom. From helping with Graduation Breakfast to participating in global events and making cherished memories with the Peruvians, to sharing her gift for floral arrangements that brought beauty to campus celebrations, she poured her whole self into the life of Ursuline.
