Dear Ursuline Parents and Guardians,

Undoubtedly, this new school year will be unlike any other in Ursuline's history. 
 
Over these past months, all of us at Ursuline Academy have been fully engaged in planning for a successful reopening of school this fall. The challenges have been many. Our priorities in these extraordinary times have focused on the health and safety of our students and employees, following government guidelines and the recommendations of the medical community. 
 
We have also thoroughly examined and implemented new measures to assure facilities readiness. Our decisions on timing have considered the steps necessary to provide for required staffing. And, we have worked to prepare for training and educating our school community on new technologies to support distance learning, as well as the operational protocols and practices designed to mitigate risk.
 
Considering all of these factors, the Ursuline Reopening Plan linked below reflects a comprehensive approach for a gradual reopening. The plan provides an overview of preparations and goals for reopening as well as the steps we are taking to meet those goals.

Medical experts have pointed to many examples of successful school reopenings in the U.S. and around the world when institutions commit to best practice protocols to slow transmission of the coronavirus. We are confident in our planning, and in our readiness to welcome your daughters back to classes and to Ursuline.
