For the first time, this year the Asian Student Union and the Office of Community & Inclusion hosted an alumnae panel to celebrate Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

Karen Tran '23 and Dr. Lisa Tran '98 took a deep dive into their leadership journeys to honor this year’s theme, “A Legacy of Leadership and Resilience,” as selected by the Federal Asian Pacific American Council. Current leaders of the Asian Student Union asked questions about the connection between their identities and their careers, the hardships along the way, and how they stay connected to their ethnic identity.  

Karen encouraged current students to show up authentically, and Lisa shared the importance of vision and grit.
