AP Exam Information

College Counseling has outlined information and instructions for students who will take an AP Exam this year:

AP Exams are optional regardless if you are currently in an AP class.

  • Every student in an AP class will join their AP class online using their College Board account at the beginning of the school year and will automatically be registered to take the AP exam. AP teachers will provide students with the information needed to complete this step.
  • If you do not plan to take an AP exam, you will need to change your exam registration status in your College Board account to ‘No’.
  • Students will register/update for AP exams in their AP classes using their College Board account from September 8 - October 9.
  • Students enrolled in a second semester AP class will receive information about registration in late fall.
  • AP Exams are administered in May.
  • Exam fees are $95 per exam. Students are billed for their AP exam fees in early June through their backpack account. Senior accounts will be closed at this point and families will need to contact the business office to pay their AP fees.

If a student is enrolled in an online AP class through OneSchoolHouse or is not enrolled in an AP class but would like to sit for an AP exam, they will need to complete this survey to receive instructions on how to register for an AP exam. Survey link: https://bit.ly/APexam2021

All students should log onto their College Board account as soon as possible so they have time to handle any issues before registration. If a student is unable to log onto her account, she should contact College Board at 866-433-7728.

For more information about the AP exam registration process, please visit their website at https://apstudents.collegeboard.org/register-for-ap-exams.

Please note: this information is only for those students who intend to take an AP exam in May of 2021 and is separate from the registration process for a student who plans to enroll in AP class at Ursuline for the 2021-2022 school year.
