Ursuline's Angel Tree was a success once again.
More than 220 gifts for six agencies were collected by the Ursuline community this year.
Faculty, staff, and students helped provide Christmas joy for Association for Independent Living, AIDS Services of Dallas, St. Vincent de Paul's StudyTime Program, and Catholic Charities of Dallas. Toys, blankets, and pots and pans were common requests. Larger items, including vacuums and microwaves, were also donated.
This year, faculty and staff received their own Angel Tree option, helping those in need at Wilkinson Center and St. Judes.
The six agencies came to Ursuline this week to pick up their donations.
"We love the spirit of Serviam that our girls, faculty, and staff have shared with us this holiday season," Service Coordinator Gabi Merani said. "The Ursuline community brightened the holidays for so many people, following in the footsteps of St. Angela Merici."
