A Letter from the Principal - August 2025

Dear Ursuline Community,

Since beginning my role as Principal on July 1, I have spent much of my time listening. Over the past several weeks, I have met with nearly every department on campus, connected with students and alumnae, and, last week, listened to our student ambassadors share their experiences with our new employees.

From each of these conversations, a couple of themes emerged loud and clear.

The first is excitement. There is excitement for a new year, for the return of our students to campus, and for the opportunity to teach subjects our faculty love deeply. There is excitement about Ursuline’s future, about building on our strong traditions while continuing to grow, innovate, and move forward with God at the center of all we do.

The second theme I kept hearing is simply love. There is a deep love for this community. There is love from our faculty and staff for our students and love from students for their teachers and their classes. When I asked our students and alumnae, “What would you never change about Ursuline?” they gave some practical answers. “We love Sage dining, activity period, and Intramurals!” (of course!) But the one that stayed with me was this, “Every day there was something fun happening. I would wake up excited to go to school and see what was going on around campus that I could take part in.”

As I have stepped into this new role, I have woken up each day excited to go to work. I am deeply grateful to be returning to a place I love so much, surrounded by people who care so deeply for our mission and for one another. It is a blessing to serve as Principal of a school that seeks to form young women in faith, intellect, and service.

Our theme for the year is Seek, and I pray that we all seek God’s presence, His will, and the ways He calls us to serve one another. As Scripture reminds us, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” – Matthew 6:33

I look forward to all that God has in store for Ursuline this year.

Seeking God’s Will,
