As I prepare for my retirement at the end of the month, my heart is filled with deep gratitude. It has been a true blessing to be part of the Ursuline community since 2000. I have been fortunate to work alongside extraordinary faculty, staff, and administrators, as well as countless dedicated parent and alumnae volunteers. Most of all, our students have been a constant source of joy and inspiration. I am so proud of the outstanding young women who leave Ursuline to do remarkable things in the world, carrying the spirit of Serviam far beyond our campus. 

This year, I am especially grateful for the generosity of our parent community, both as donors and volunteers. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the leadership and volunteers for the Parent Campaign and Gala, more than 90% of our parents participated in our fundraising initiatives, which is an extraordinary testament to their commitment. Our alumnae community also stepped forward in a powerful way, surpassing our annual goal of 1,000 donors and unlocking a $75,000 match challenge from five generous alumnae. 

We are blessed by our employees, who have demonstrated 100% participation for 11 consecutive years in support of their Employee Legacy Scholarship. This fund now provides a $22,700 scholarship annually and continues to grow, reflecting their unwavering dedication to our students. 

I am also deeply thankful for our grandparents and past parents, whose continued support reflects their belief in Ursuline’s mission to prepare young women for leadership and service in our community and in our world. 

Together, this community made an incredible impact this year. We raised more than $1.8 million for The Ursuline Fund, providing vital resources that allow the Academy to say yes to opportunities that enrich our students’ experience. Our Gala truly lived up to its “Going for Gold” theme and raised more than $800,000 for scholarships. Thanks to generous donors, we added more than $1 million to Ursuline’s endowed funds, which now exceed $47 million and will provide support for our students, faculty, and the Academy’s greatest needs for generations to come. This spring we awarded more than $2 million in scholarships, thanks to our community’s generosity and the faithful stewardship of our endowed funds. 

So yes, my heart is overflowing with gratitude as I begin this next chapter. 

I am delighted to share that our next Chief Development Officer will be a familiar and cherished member of our community. Christina Miller ‘95 will assume this role on July 1. After serving as our Senior Director of Development for the past two and a half years, she is exceptionally well prepared to lead our efforts forward. Christina brings a servant’s heart, a deep love for Ursuline, and a clear vision for the future. Please join me in warmly welcoming Christina as our new Chief Development Officer.
