This week, we began celebrating Sr. Lois Castillon, O.S.U., as she prepares for an exciting new chapter. At the end of the school year, Sr. Lois will move to St. Louis to serve in a Leadership position with the Sisters of the Central Province. While we’re grateful to have a little more time with her, we’ve already started honoring her incredible impact on our community.
On Wednesday, students filled the Theater with sunshine—literally—donning yellow, Sr. Lois’ favorite color, in her honor. The vibrant sea of yellow reflected the joy, warmth, and light Sr. Lois brings to our community.
Thursday brought a special gathering of faculty and staff in Fox Dining Hall, complete with treats, lattes, and a touch of whimsy—custom latte foam art featuring Sr. Lois herself! A beautiful nod to her beloved "Coffee with St. Angela" tradition, this farewell was as personal as it was joyful. A heartfelt slideshow chronicled her years of devoted service, capturing just a glimpse of the countless lives she has touched.
Sr. Lois, thank you for your unwavering dedication to Ursuline’s mission and heritage. You leave behind a legacy of faith, leadership, and love that will continue to guide and inspire us. May your next chapter be filled with the same sunshine you’ve brought to ours. 💛
