Students joined Ursuline alumnae and Ursuline mothers for a day of service on Saturday, October 13. Over 30 volunteers helped Feed My Starving Children and over 20 volunteers assisted the North Texas Food Bank.
SAA President Cecilia Chavez participated in the project at Feed My Starving Children and noted how truly meaningful the experience was. "I was able to realize how blessed I am and I loved being able to partake in an experience that I know will better the lives of several individuals. It showed me just how much a few hours of my time was able to feed hundreds of kids around the world."
While volunteers at Feed My Starving Children packaged meals for children around the world, volunteers at North Texas Food Bank sorted and boxed goods. They were able to fill ten pallets with 680 boxes which will provide 12,768 meals.
