An EGG-cellent Easter Gift

Ursuline's annual Easter Egg Hunt looked a little different this year.

The event, typically held on the Front Lawn of the Ursuline campus, was unfortunately canceled due to stay-at-home orders. However, this did not stop the Easter Eggs from being used.

Each year, Sr. Mary’s team of volunteers works tirelessly to stuff 5,000 Easter Eggs with candy. Since they had already been stuffed prior to Spring Break, Claire Blanshard Webb '97, Director of Alumnae, Parents, and Community Programs didn’t want them to go to waste knowing how many organizations in the area service children.

On Friday, April 3, with safety precautions in mind, 1,000 eggs were carefully picked-up by Genesis Women's Shelter for their Easter Egg Hunt held over Easter weekend. Later that day, Jada Stotts, Event Coordinator, delivered the remaining 4,000 Easter Eggs to the Ronald McDonald House to be used for a postponed Easter Egg Hunt in July.

While we were disappointed we couldn’t hold our usual Easter Egg Hunt on campus, we’re thrilled our Easter Eggs will bring joy to many other children this year.
