Applying to Ursuline
When does the application open?
The application for the following school year opens on the first Friday in September.
How do I apply to Ursuline Academy of Dallas?
Ursuline uses Ravenna, a secure online admissions platform that allows families to submit an application, register for admissions events, and track required materials throughout the process.
What is required to complete an application?
Applicants submit an online application, candidate questionnaire, and parent statement through Ravenna. Additional requirements include:
- Transcript from the previous school year
- First-semester report card from the current school year
- Current English teacher evaluation
- Current Math teacher evaluation
- ISEE scores
- On- campus student interview
Is there an application fee?
Yes. A non-refundable application fee of $100 is required when submitting the application. Families who may need assistance with the fee are encouraged to contact the Admissions Office.
When should we begin the admissions process?
Most families begin the admissions process during the fall of their daughter's 8th-grade year. We encourage prospective families to create a Ravenna account, attend admissions events, and visit campus early in the process.
When and how are admissions decisions released?
Admissions decisions are released electronically on the Friday before Spring Break at 4:00 p.m. CST.
What happens when my daughter is accepted?
Families have two weeks from the release of admissions decisions to complete enrollment. To secure a student's place in the incoming class, parents must submit a signed enrollment contract and tuition deposit.

How can my daughter experience Ursuline?
There are many ways to experience life at Ursuline, including Campus Visits, Campus Tours, Admission Showcase, Sneak Peek, Tarde de Información, and Meet the Administrators events.

What is the difference between a Campus Visit and a Campus Tour?
Campus Visits are designed for prospective students and provide a more immersive experience that may include classroom observations, student interactions, and lunch on campus. Campus Tours offer families an introduction to Ursuline through a guided campus tour led by a student ambassador.
Who can attend a Campus Visit or Tour?
Campus Visits are available for students applying during the current admissions cycle. Campus Tours are available for families with students currently in grades 8-10.
Does my daughter need to be accompanied by an adult during a campus tour?
Yes. Students participating in a campus tour must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Are there opportunities for younger students to visit?
Yes. Sneak Peek, held in the spring, is designed for current 6th and 7th grade families who would like an early introduction to Ursuline.
Does Ursuline have an Open House?
Yes! Admission Showcase is Ursuline's signature admissions event for 8th-grade families. Prospective students and parents can meet faculty, connect with current students, learn about academic programs, and explore campus.
Are there admissions events for Spanish-speaking families?
Yes. Each fall, Ursuline hosts Tarde de Información, an admissions event led by Spanish-speaking faculty, staff, and student ambassadors.
Does Ursuline offer shadow days?
Ursuline does not offer a traditional shadow day program. In consideration of our peer schools, we limit the amount of instructional time prospective students miss during the admissions process. Instead, we offer a variety of visit opportunities designed to provide an authentic look at student life.

What fees should families expect in addition to tuition?
The enrollment fee is $2,750 and includes the tuition deposit, technology fee, and parent activity fee.
What payment options are available?
Families may choose from annual, semi-annual, or monthly payment plans. Our Finance Office is available to help determine the option that best fits your family's needs.
Does Ursuline offer tuition assistance?
Yes. Ursuline offers tuition assistance to families who demonstrate financial need. We are committed to making an Ursuline education accessible to qualified students.
How do I apply for tuition assistance?
Families apply through the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, an independent service that evaluates financial need. The tuition assistance application deadline is the same as the admissions application deadline.
When will tuition assistance decisions be released?
Tuition assistance decisions are released at the same time as admissions decisions and are included with enrollment materials.
How are tuition assistance decisions made?
Tuition assistance decisions are based on a comprehensive review of each family's financial circumstances. Ursuline uses the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment along with supporting financial documentation to evaluate demonstrated need.
Is my financial information kept confidential?
Yes. All financial assistance applications and supporting documents are treated as confidential and reviewed only by those directly involved in the process.
Do families need to reapply for tuition assistance each year?
Yes. Tuition assistance is awarded annually, and families must submit a new application and current financial information each year to be considered.
What if my family's financial situation changes?
Families may apply for tuition assistance at any time if their financial circumstances change. Assistance is awarded based on available funding.
Does Ursuline offer merit scholarships?
Yes. All accepted students are automatically considered for academic merit scholarships. No separate application is required.
Does Ursuline participate in the Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) program?
Yes. Ursuline Academy of Dallas is an approved provider for the Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) program beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.
International & Transfer Students
Does Ursuline accept international students?
Yes. International students follow the same application process and timeline as domestic applicants. Once accepted and enrolled, Ursuline can issue the necessary I-20 documentation.
Please note that Ursuline does not provide housing. International students must reside with a relative or legal guardian while attending school.
Does Ursuline accept transfer students?
Transfer applications may be considered when space is available. Mid-year transfers are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are typically considered only under special circumstances.

Students can participate in more than 145 clubs, organizations, athletic teams, internships, and leadership opportunities.
Testing & ISEE
Does Ursuline require the ISEE?
Yes. Applicants are required to submit scores from the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE).
When should my daughter take the ISEE?
We recommend taking the ISEE during the winter testing season, typically in December or January of 8th grade.
When are ISEE scores due?
Scores are typically due during the first week of February. Please refer to the current Admissions Calendar for specific deadlines.
How does Ursuline receive ISEE scores?
When registering for the ISEE, families should use Ursuline Academy of Dallas school code 441825 so scores are sent directly to the Admissions Office.
Can my daughter take the ISEE with accommodations?
Yes. Students who qualify for testing accommodations may take the ISEE with approved accommodations.
How is the ISEE considered in the admissions process?
The ISEE is one component of Ursuline's holistic admissions review. Admissions decisions are based on a comprehensive evaluation of the application, including transcripts, teacher evaluations, interview, and testing.
Do transfer students need to submit ISEE scores?
Transfer applicants may submit previous ISEE scores or PSAT scores, depending on their circumstances.
Are ISEE fee waivers available?
Yes. Families who need assistance with testing costs are encouraged to contact the Admissions Office to request a fee waiver.
