Onsite Services
Onsite services are an essential part of the 1:1 Laptop program at Ursuline. Our in-house technician provides laptop support and diagnostics for students, faculty, and staff.
Microsoft Warranty
Details of the four-year warranty are as follows:
- Each device is covered individually by serial number.
- Any warranty issue, including failing batteries, dead pixels, touchscreen issues, etc., is included.
- Damage of any kind of break, shattered screen, water or other destruction, is covered.
- There are no deductibles for any claim under this warranty.
- Devices can be replaced twice for damage in the coverage period (4 years), per serial number.
Loss and/or theft are NOT covered by this protection plan.
Students who use laptops as an everyday learning tool become better writers and more collaborative learners. They are energized and invest more effort into the quality of their work. Faculty also benefit from the program. Through continuing training, teachers are encouraged to explore new techniques to enhance their curriculum by integrating technology into the process.
Hot Spare Loaners
Should repair require replacement parts and/or time to repair, Ursuline Academy will provide the student with a Hot Spare until the repair is completed. The Hot Spare computers are the same model computer the student is using, allowing for a seamless transition and minimal downtime.
Microsoft Office 365
Every student will be set up with their own Microsoft Office 365 account. Microsoft 365 is a suite of apps that includes word, excel, teams, and many others. Students will also take advantage of OneDrive which provides 1TB of storage. Microsoft 365 is cloud based which allows students anywhere and anytime access to their data.
